Batumi Botanical Gardens

Batumi Botanical Garden, located at the distance of 9 km from the center of Batumi, occupies the area of 108, 7 hectare of approximately 1 km stripe of Southern-Western section of the coastline located between the river Chakvistskali estuary and the Green Cape, being spread to the height of 0-220 meters from the sea level, which not long time ago was totally covered with Kolkheti type forest (beech, chestnut, linden) and evergreen sub-forest.

Batumi Boulevard

Probably the oldest attraction in Batumi, construction of the boulevard began in 1881, when the Governor of the Batumi District assigned the German gardener, Reseller, to create a park alongside the sea shore of Batumi Old Town. Nowadays, Batumi Boulevard has reached a length of around 7 kilometres and is approximately divided into ‘new’ and ‘old’ boulevards. The original and beautiful park is still here, with the addition of modern sculptures, benches and fountains. During the height of the summer season the seashore is busy with cafés, restaurants, beach bars and clubs. In the off-season it’s simply a beautiful sea-side boulevard.

Monument Ali and Nino

Located in the beautiful Miracle park, the monument is inspired by the local legend of Ali, an Azerbaijani youth who falls in love with Nino, a Georgian princess. As with all tragedies, there is no happily ever after and Ali gets killed in a war. The monument comprises two statues made of metal plates. The statues are mounted on moving pedestals and the metal plates have gaps in between. This enables the two statues to actually cross each other giving the impression that the lovers are meeting together and then separating again. The monument is beautiful and unique in its concept in that it blends art with engineering. As with all structures in the park, it is lit up beautifully at night making it a great photo spot.

Batumi Dolphinarium

Located in the 6th of May Park, the dolphinarium hosts several dolphin shows during the day. The shows are held in English and Georgian and are very popular. If you would like an interactive session, swimming with dolphins is also available. The shows are great and this is definitely one of the top attractions in the city. It is advisable to book the shows in advance during peak season to avoid disappointment.

Amusement Park Tsitsinatela

Amusement park «Firefly» is located in Guria Ozurgeti municipality, It is a park of 36 amusement rides for all ages, including 8 attractions for children, 17 family and 11 extreme attractions. There are pizzeria, coffee house, bar and several trade boothes in the territory of the park. If you are travelling to Ureki, Shekvetili or Kobuleti you must spend one evening with Firefly, which operates from 18.00 pm to 03.00 am..

Kobuleti Museum

Kobuleti Museum is located at 100 Davit Agmashenebeli Avenue, Kobuleti, Adjara. The museum has a rich collection, here is the material found in the territory of Kobuleti municipality, which covers all stages of human development, from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. Here you will find tools, pottery, coins, ancient manuscripts, works of art from different periods, ethnographic material, photographs and other interesting artefacts. Kobuleti Museum is one of the wonderful places to get acquainted with the history and ancient culture of Georgia and this region. The exhibits in the museum make an indelible impression on anyone interested in any culture.

Argo Cable Car

The Argo Cable Car in Batumi was initiated in 2008 and connects to the Cultural Entertainment Complex. The complex hosts a variety of restaurants, cafes, retail shops, open air halls, and rooftop terraces – offering spectacular views of Batumi, the Black Sea and the surrounding mountains. The construction process of the Cultural Entertainment Complex ARGO was completed in August 2013 and incorporates both the cable car and entertainment center. The cable car is the main connection between the entertainment center and the town. The cable car is an exciting transport while offering the unique opportunity to experience fantastic panoramic views of the town, as they ascend to the Argo’s end-point.

Petra Fortress

Petra Fortress — a historic fortress-town in Adjara, Kobuleti municipality, in the territory of the village Tsikhisdziri. The castle was built by John Strathegos in 535. «Petra» is the Byzantine name of this fortress and «Castle of Kajeti» is Georgian one. It is supposed this is a castle which is mentioned in the poem of Rustaveli “The knight in panther’s skin.” The fortress-town is located on the Black Sea coast, 440 meters above sea level, 9 km from Kobuleti.

Europe Square

This is probably the most beautiful square in the city surrounded by beautiful buildings both traditional and modern. In the center of the paved square is a fountain which is great for cooling off in the hot summer months.
The square is also home to the astronomical clock and the statue of Medea holding the golden fleece. The statue is placed on a tall column and refers to the famous legend of the Georgian princess Medea helping Jason obtain the golden fleece. And for the more down-to-earth, it also has a McDonalds.

National Park Kintrishi

Kintrishi National Park is located in a beautiful resort of Georgia – Kobuleti. It has high class visitor center where tourist are able to get information about protected areas of Georgia. Kintrishi Protected Areas is located 24 km far from Visitors’ Centre, 300-2500 meters above the sea level.Visitors have an opportunity to enjoy 2 trails of Tamari Arch Bridge (1 day pedestrian route), Utkhovari and Lake Tbikeli routes (2 days pedestrian and horse riding tours). There are arranged camping and picnic areas as well as fire places are arranged around the route.

Dancing Fountains

Located on the Batumi Boulevard, the fountains are a great way to cool down during the hot summer months. The fountains operate throughout the day but the main show with lights and music happens in the evenings. The area around the fountains is paved and surrounded by beautiful gardens. There are some cafes in the area. So you can also enjoy the show while having a drink.Best time to visit is in the evenings. This is a great way to end your day.

Piazza Square

The small square is an Italian style open-air plaza complete with its square clock tower topped by a conical roof. The square is surrounded by period buildings and has a beautiful mosaic on the floor. There are many restaurants and cafes in the square making it a nice place to relax.

Holy Trinity Church

The Akalshemi Holy Trinity Church is located on the hills outside Batumi from where you will have a magnificent view of the city distric and harbor area. Albeit the trip by car takes just about 25 minutes it is an adventerous ride on a rumerous, infernal, bumpy ride on a narrow single-track trail. But once you reach the hill-top the view ist just mangificent. To enter the chruch there is a special dress Code, the entrance is m0nitored by a harsh nun. Inside the church there are various pictures and paintings; the chruch is under re-construction.

Makhuntseti Waterwall

The roughly 100m high waterfall is situated an hours drive from Batumi on the way to Borjomi. The force of the water in March was amazing as this is the time the snow starts melting. Most waterfalls i have seen cannot match the flow of this waterfall. Coupled with the height it’s worth a visit.
One can buy pure honey on this route towards Borjomi, which actually tastes different from the market ready packs, proving its purenees. The untouched natural beauty is amazing on this route.

Casino Batumi

Very stylish, not the classic Batumi main stream Casino. Food and drinks are free, even cigarettes. Friendly staff and live music on special weekdays.
